EUROMicroFest 2019

EUROMicroFest 2019 (Artistic Director, Donald Bousted)
 
EUROMicroFest  is a collaboration between Microtonal Projects and un-sound e.V. in Freiburg, Germany.
Dates: 24th-25th May, 2019 at the Elisabeth-Schneider-Stiftung and Museum für Stadtgeschichte, Wenztinger Haus.
 
The concerts will feature, among others, guitarist Michael Kudirka (USA), sponsored by the Carl-Schurz-Haus Freiburg; keyboard player, Johannes Keller (Basel, CH) and duo Contour (microtonal trumpets and malletKat).
 
Speakers will include the composer, Matthias S. Krüger (Lörrach, DE) with guitarist, Stephan Schmidt (Basel); trumpeter, Stephen Altoft (Freiburg, DE); recorder player Kathryn Bennetts (co-author of The Quarter-Tone Recorder Manual) (GB) and, from the Finnish Microtonal Society, composer Juhani Topias Vesikkala.

Lectures, workshops and an evening concert with international microtonal experts such as Philipp Gerschlauer (saxophone), Nora-Louise Müller (Bohlen-Pierce clarinet), Anne Davids (flute), Melle Weijters (41-edo guitar), Donald Bousted (composer, quarter-tone guitar), Kathryn Bennetts (recorder), Christian Klinkenberg (composer and pianist), and Juhani Vesikkala (composer).
